Why some companies are hiring, some not

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) - In yet another alarm bell of a weakening U.S. economy, the job market took a disappointing turn in May.

The economy gained a mere 54,000 jobs in the month, a significant slowdown from 232,000 jobs added to payrolls in April, the government reported Friday.

Why are some companies hiring at a breakneck pace while others are sitting on the sidelines?

American Morning's Ali Velshi and Christine Romans talk to two business owners. Angela Selden with Arise Virtual Solutions is looking for qualified candidates to fill 11,000 jobs this year, while David Martin with Home Style Foods is not looking to make any new hires this year. On AM this morning, they explain their reasons why.
