In Depth: Sen. Sessions on why he doesn't expect progress from Biden's budget meeting

Big decisions need to be made on Capitol Hill this week, as Vice President Biden resumes budget talks with top lawmakers today. Just a couple of weeks ago, the Federal Government maxed-out its credit, and the White House wants to bump up its spending limits, but the Republicans have so far been rejecting that request.

Conservative Republicans, including the powerful Club for Growth, are demanding more than spending cuts – they want other reforms including a balanced-budget amendment. One of the items Democrats want off of the table in any deal is Ryan's "Medicare" proposal.

Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL), member of the budget committee, joins Christine Romans this morning, to discuss balancing the budget and why he is not optimistic about the upcoming Biden talks.
