Rep. Paul Ryan on budget, debt talks: 'We are entering the mature phase of this'

Some new movement this morning in the battle over cutting the nation's debt and raising the debt ceiling.

CNN is learning that President Obama wants $3 to $4 trillion dollars in budget cuts over the next decade. It's a move that would force Democrats to accept major changes to Medicare and Social Security.

Earlier on American Morning, we spoke with Rep. Chris Van Hollen. Also this morning, Christine Romans speaks with Rep. Paul Ryan and asked him what it would take to get Republicans to agree to a deal to raise the debt ceiling.
