Although the Libyan rebel forces have taken over Gadhafi's compound, they have said that there will be no victory until Gadhafi himself has been captured or killed and they are offering $1.4 million dollars to anyone who is able to do just that.
Knowing that the eyes of the world are upon them, the rebels have said that they will offer the Libyan leader a fair trial if he is captured alive. The International Criminal Court in the Hague also wants to try Gadhafi and has issued warrants for both his arrest and the arrest of one of his sons.
Talk Back: What should happen if Gadhafi is captured?
Let us know what you think. Your answer may be read on this morning's broadcast.
1. Send him to The Hague for a fair trial; or 2. Send him to his farm and a comfortable retirement, as we did our own tyrants (Reagan and the Bush's) who started and perpetuated this war against the Islam religion and its Peoples.
If at all possible, he should be captured and turned over to the International Court for trial. Unfortunately, Libya doesn't have the infrastructure of laws and a judicial system needed to fairly try him in that country. If he won't surrender, then he should be shot dead and his body turned over to his tribesmen to help avoid revenge killings and the mayhem that would probably ensue.

I would put him on a Pan Am plane and light the fuse.
Gadhafi needs to be shot dead on sight. To me, that will be justice. Don't waste anymore time or money in bringing him to the Hague, as he has the blood of innocent Americans on his hands(i.e. Berlin discoteque, Pan Am 103).
First find him. I think he and his family have been living deep under the Hotel where the reporters are staying throughout this entire war. The safest place to be in Tripoli when bombs are being dropped. He is probably still there. Once they get him, put him on trial.
What we think won't matter. The Libyan people won't let him live long enough for a debate.
Nothing should happen to Gadhafi other than being turned over to the people he affected, the Libyans.
Gadhafi will never surrender peaceful. The results will be the same as Saddam received – a show trial and a hanging.
They should send him to the icc... To have a viable future the new regime must be founded on the rule of law. If they just execute him without a trial how are they any different than Ghaddafis regime. There would be no better way to found the future of the country than to ignore the thirst for blood and immediate justice than to send him to the world court and let him stand accountable for his crimes for the whole world to see. There would be no better way to show the world that the new Libya will be a land founded under the rule of law and be an icon to the whole region of what is possible if people make a stand for justice and freedom.
What should happen if Gadhafi is captured? <= let him go so freedom fighters can have fun catching him again.. etc. etc... repeat until he expires – like a cat 'plays' with a mouse.. 🙂
