Best Buy CEO on record number of shoppers waiting for Black Friday sales

Before Best Buy stores even opened on midnight on Black Friday, some stores counted nearly 2,000 customers outside the doors ready to pounce on the best deals.

Today on American Morning, Best Buy CEO Brian Dunn talks about the decision to open early and the overall retail outlook for the holiday season.

Toys 'R' Us CEO on the hottest toys for the holiday season

(CNNMoney) Larger - and younger - crowds jammed the nation's malls and big box stores on Black Friday, as a new generation got in on one of the biggest sales days of the year.

Macy's opens early, pursues younger shoppers for holidays

Macy’s Department store kept true to their promise of never missing a Black Friday. In fact, they revamped their operation a bit by opening at midnight as opposed to the usual 4am.

Consumers flooded the Macy's in New York City's Herald Square — the world’s largest. American Morning’s Alina Cho caught up with Macy's President and CEO of Macy’s Terry Lundgren who explained what the store had to offer for Black Friday and his outlook on the holiday shopping season.

Mona Eltahawy on being detained: 'At first I refused to go...but they insisted'

“This is the brutality Egyptians face everyday,” Egyptian-American Journalist Mona Eltahawy said of her recent detention by Egyptian security forces. She was recently caught in the violent cross fire during a protest in Egypt.

In addition to being assaulted, groped, and knocked to the ground, Elthahawy explains that she was also blindfolded for 12 hours, groped, thrown to the ground, held for 12 hours. She now has two broken arms and bruises all over her body.

Eltahawy feels that it is important as a journalist to remain in Egypt and be the voice for Egyptians who face this abuse daily, but do not have a voice to bring attention to it.
