Child obesity rates are rising and schools across the country are combating the problem by providing healthier school lunches. The latest target on the lunch menu is chocolate milk.
The superintendent of the nation’s second-largest school district in Los Angeles says he is looking to remove both chocolate and strawberry milk from schools. And, other states like Florida have considered statewide bans.
Many nutritionists are divided on the issue. Some say the calcium, vitamin D and protein benefits of flavored milk outweigh the harm of the sugar content. Others argue sugar or not, it's the only milk kids get.

Two Muslim Imams dressed in traditional garb were removed from a flight in Tennessee. The Imams were on their way to Charlotte, North Carolina for a conference on "Islamophobia", the fear of Islam. After the Imams again cleared security checks, the pilot still refused to fly with the men on board.
This morning, AM is asking: Should pilots be able to remove passengers because of their appearance?

Celebrating mom this Sunday on Mother's Day? Flowers and cards can never quite repay mom for all she's done, but have you ever thought about how much she's really worth? One website is putting a dollar amount on mom this year with its "Mother's Day Index."
The site, Insure.com, says the value of the tasks mom performs for her family, not including her job, is $61,436/year. That amount is based on what a professional might charge for these tasks: cooking, cleaning, driving, childcare, helping with homework, nursing wounds, planning parties, summer activity planner, haircuts, shopping, family finances, yard work, fixing up the house, and finding out what the kids are up to.
AM ask for your thoughts on the value of all mom does for the family. How much is your mom worth?
President Obama said Wednesday he has decided not to release photos taken of Osama bin Laden's corpse.
According to a senior U.S. official, the White House has received three sets of photographs. The first batch, which clearly show bin Laden's body, was taken at a hangar in Afghanistan, the official said. The official described one of the images as a clear, but gruesome, picture of his face. Bin Laden is shown with a massive open head wound across both eyes, the official said, adding that the image would not be appropriate for the front pages of newspapers.
