'Unlikely Friendships:' New book showcases adorable cross-species animal bonds

Most people wouldn't initially believe that a Rhodesian Ridgeback dog and a piglet could be friends. However, in her new book, "Unlikely Friendships," author Jennifer Holland proves that even the most opposite animal species can sometimes form strong bonds.

Holland's new book showcases fascinating stories and pictures of different animal species that have come together to form human-like friendships.

She joins the anchors of American Morning today to recount the unique stories of these animal bonds and to explain what inspired her to write her book.

Missing Bronx Zoo cobra found in Reptile House

New York City residents can breathe a deep sigh of relief knowing the Bronx Zoo's missing cobra has been found.

The Egyptian Cobra, which had been missing for seven days, caused a media frenzy; the cobra immediately shot to superstardom on Twitter, garnering more than 200,000 followers. But the mystery of the missing cobra came to an end Thursday when Bronx Zoo workers found the elusive reptile in the zoo's Reptile House.

Jim Breheny is the Director of the Bronx Zoo and Senior VP of Living Institutions, Wildlife Conservation Society. Breheny talks to American Morning about the zoo's quest to find the missing cobra.
