Casey Anthony's parents 'do not think she's innocent'

Casey Anthony's parents do not believe she is innocent, their lawyer Mark Lippman told CNN's Gary Tuchman on Wednesday. They do not, however, want their daughter to receive the death penalty for the killing.

CNN's legal contributor Sunny Hostin joins Kiran Chetry and Christine Romans this morning to explain this development and to discuss when she thinks the defense will have to  start addressing its theory about Caylee's death.

Did Casey Anthony steal the drowning story from a jailmate? Sunny Hostin explains

More twists and turns in the murder trial of Casey Anthony.

While the defense tries to discredit forensic evidence against the suspected child killer, prosecutors are pulling a surprise move - unveiling a potential new witness who served time in jail with Anthony. Prosecutors believe Anthony heard this inmate's story about how her son had drowned, and Anthony thought she could use it in her defense.

This morning on American Morning, In Session's Sunny Hostin explains this theory to Carol Costello and Kiran Chetry.

Intense testimony leads Casey Anthony to fall ill – is this a turning point in the trial?

(CNN) - It is unclear if the illness that halted Casey Anthony's murder trial will delay the trial Friday morning.

Anthony's murder trial ended an hour and a half early Thursday, with Orange County Chief Judge Belvin Perry Jr. telling members of the media in the courtroom that Anthony was ill.

Jurors were not told why the trial ended early Thursday, and Perry asked them not to speculate. He said court would be in recess until Friday.

After the jurors left, Perry spoke to members of the media in the courtroom, saying that neither the prosecution nor the defense had any comment on the matter. The judge also asked reporters not to question either side about it. The details of Anthony's illness were not given.

Earlier in the day, Anthony cried in court as photos of her daughter's remains were shown. Will the showing of these photos mark a turning point in the trial? In Session's Sunny Hostin explains.
