Woman becomes high school football coach

(CNN) – By now you might have heard of Natalie Randolph, a woman living a dream that many would have called impossible.

Her father wouldn't let her play football in high school, so she later played in a women's league. And now she's the coach at a high school in Washington, D.C. Our Carol Costello sat down with her to talk about her new role.

Ski lessons with Olympian Todd Lodwick

He has joined the ranks of Michael Phelps and Lance Armstrong by being named the U.S. Olympic Committee's sportsman of the year this year, but Todd Lodwick competes in a sport not many Americans are familiar with – Nordic Combined, which is normally dominated by Europeans.

Our Rob Marciano got a skiing lesson from the Olympic athlete for this American Morning original report.

Victory for New Orleans

Mardi Gras celebrations are already breaking out this year in New Orleans. Today, schools are closing early so everyone can get to the Louisiana Superdome in time for tonight's Super Bowl parade.

And still celebrating the Saints' championship is a pair of CNN political contributors who happen to be husband and wife and members of the "Who dat" nation – James Carville and Mary Matalin. They joined us on Tuesday's American Morning.

'Til football do us part

We've heard many stories about how sports rivalries test family loyalties. But never one quite like this.

He is a chef from New Orleans, but a Colts fan at heart. And she is a die-hard Saints fan, from Indianapolis. It's gotten so bad that the couple has divided their restaurant – "War of the Roses" style – right down the middle.

Deb and Carter Hutchinson joined us on Friday's American Morning, live from Mooresville, Indiana.
