Question of the Day: Do you believe that Casey Anthony’s acquittal was the result of a good defense or a poor prosecution?

(CNN) - After less than 11 hours of deliberation, a jury Tuesday found Casey Anthony not guilty of first-degree murder and the other most serious charges against her in the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter.

Anti-smoking drug found to dramatically increase heart attack risk

Adding to a growing list of concerns about the popular anti-smoking drug Chantix, researchers for a new study from the Canadian Medical Association Journal have found that taking the drug increases a smokers risk of having a heart attack by 72%.

Elizabeth Cohen, CNN senior medical correspondent, weighs in on these new warnings with Ali Velshi and Christine Romans this morning.

Santorum: President 'has blown the door off Washington spending'

Republican candidates for President were a common sight at 4th of July parades yesterday. Among them, Rick Santorum, 2012 GOP Presidential candidate and former Pennsylvania senator, who marched in three parades in Iowa.

Kicking off a major push in the key presidential state, Santorum is launching a five-day, 10-city jobs tour today called "Courage to Fight for American Jobs."

This morning on American Morning, Santorum joins Ali Velshi and Christine Romans to talk about his ideas for job growth, his socially conservative platforms, and his campaign for president.

Former CNN anchor Kitty Pilgrim breaks down new book 'The Explorer's Code'

Kitty Pilgrim, former CNN anchor, has just authored a new book called "The Explorer's Code," a page turning thriller that takes the reader from the Norwegian arctic to an archaeological dig in Turkey and beyond in search of a valuable land deed.

Pilgrim joins American Morning today to talk about the process of writing the novel and how much of the book's plot is drawn from her own experience working at CNN.

"The Explorer's Code" is set to hit stores today.

Royal couple continue their honeymoon tour of Canada

Having spent the day at a lake on Prince Edward Island yesterday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate, are now on their sixth day of their tour of Canada.

The couple is set to visit Yellowknife today in the Northwest Territories, where they are expected to take part in a street hockey game and attend a session of Youth Parliament.

Carolyn Harris, royal historian from Queens University, joins Ali Velshi and Christine Romans this morning to talk about the highlights of the couple's trip and to discuss the sensation that their visit has become in Canada.

DSK facing divided French sentiment amidst new attempted rape accusations

Dominique Strauss-Kahn, former managing director of the International Monetary Fund, faces new challenges this week with French writer Tristane Banon accusing him of attempted rape in a 2003 incident. Strauss-Kahn has filed countercharges against Banon for "false declarations,"' a lawyer for DSK told CNN Monday.

This news comes amidst reports that the Manhattan DA's case against Strauss-Kahn seems to be crumbling due to credibility issues with the hotel maid who has accused him of rape.

Elaine Sciolino, New York Times Paris correspondent, discusses what Strauss-Kahn is facing politically and what impact these scandals have had on French culture on American Morning today.
