In Depth: New poll shows Gingrich leading GOP field

It's a scenario that seemed unimaginable just a few short months ago – Newt Gingrich has emerged as a front runner for the Republican presidential nomination.  According to a CNN/ORC International Poll released Monday, 24% of Republicans and Independents who lean towards the GOP say Mitt Romney is their likely choice for their party's presidential nominee with Gingrich at 22%. Today on American Morning, Christine Romans talks with super committee member Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Maryland) about what's standing in the way of a deal.
